Arsenal target £32million striker after Jamie Vardy snub

Arenal have refocussed their transfer attentions on Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi after Jamie Vardy finally confirmed that he has snubbed a move to the Emirates yesterday.

Leicester City confirmed yesterday their 29-year old star striker has signed a new four-year deal at the King Power stadium, and ended speculation surrounding a potential transfer to Arsenal, despite Arsene Wenger triggering his £20million buyout clause.

However, after the snub, Wenger has retargetted his attentions to Inter Milan hotshot Mauro Icardi, who is valued at £32million. The striker, who has only made one appearance for Argentina, scored 16 goals in 33 games last season for the Series A club.
