Arsenal attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan has never been shy about having a dig at the pragmatic style of his former manager at Manchester United Jose Mourinho.
The Armenia international swapped Old Trafford for the Emirates last January, as part of the deal that saw Alexis Sanchez join the Red Devils.
Mkhitaryan moved to the Premier League in 2016 after developing a reputation as one of Europe’s best attacking talents during his time with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
However, he struggled to perform under Jose Mourinho, and for about the 500th time since he moved to London he has been letting everybody know that he prefers the more attack minded style that Arsenal play.
“Everything about Arsenal is totally different to Manchester United,” Mkhitaryan said.
“As soon as I came to Arsenal I felt the warmth of this team. It’s like a family where everyone is taking care of you.
“The philosophy, the playing style, the club… nothing is comparable. It’s like a new page in the book of my life.
“Arsenal have always played offensive football but under Jose the team at United was playing a bit differently.
“I’m not criticising or blaming him. It was just a different philosophy.
“But what I can say is that I am enjoying myself more at Arsenal than I was at Manchester.”
