Arsenal are targeting Roma’s Cengiz Under and are believed to readying a £44m bid for the Turkish international.
Unai Emery is believed to be in the market for an attacker who can play in wide areas, following a long-term injury to Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s inconsistent displays.
Arsenal scouts are said to have visited the Stadio Olimpico to monitor Under, with the 21-year-old having impressed with his performances in Serie A.
Sky Sports are reporting that Unai Emery is ready to launch a £44m bid for the winger, as Arsenal look to continue their strong start to the season. The Gunners are currently fifth, four points behind London rivals Chelsea as they look to secure Champions League qualification for the first time in three years.
Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in bringing Under to the Premier League and have been linked with a proposed swap deal including Andreas Christensen.
