Arsenal have rejected a £34million bid for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.

Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta confirmed that the Serie A champions made what they thought was a “reasonable offer” for the 27-year old.

Moratta told Chilean newspaper El Mercurio.

Sanchez is a great player, but Arsenal do not want to give him up,

We informed the Gunners, who asked for £34m – surely a reasonable fee.

However, when we responded to this request, Arsenal told us they will not sell the player.

Sanchez has been targetted by Italian Champions Juventus for a number of weeks after he has been stalling over a new deal at the Emirates.

Juventus have already completed the signings of Miralem Pjanic and Dani Alves, whilst have lost Alvaro Morata to Real Madrid and face the prospect of losing Paul Pogba to Manchester United.
