Arsenal are set to refuse Alexis Sanchez the chance to move to another Premier League club this summer according to reports.
The Chilean has been linked with a move to both Manchester City and Chelsea this summer as he only has 12-months on his current contract at the Gunners.
Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in signing Sanchez, and with Arsenal refusing to sell to a Premier League rival, the Bundesliga Champions are now in a prime position to secure his signature.
Arsenal’s failure to qualify for the Champions League has only furthered rumours that Sanchez will leave the Emirates this season.
Manchester City and Chelsea are believed to be prepared to offer in excess of £45m to sign the 26-year-old, but after years of selling some of their top stars to Premier League rivals on the cheap, Arsenal chiefs seem to have put a halt to such practices.
In years gone by, the likes of Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie have all been allowed to leave for Arsenal’s Premier League rivals.
