Arsenal have sensationally pulled out of a deal to bring Gonzalo Higuain to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

We reported to you yesterday that Arsenal have made an offer of €50million for the Argentinian striker, whilst offering to send French striker in the opposite direction. However, Arsene Wenger has reportedly pulled the plug on the deal.

Speaking to Radio CRC, journalist Raffaele Auriemma said:

Wenger has blocked everything.

Arsenal were upset by the leak and amazed that after a few hours everything was out in the open, so have taken a step back.

Even [Napoli chairman Aurelio] De Laurentiis seems bitter, even angry, not because he wanted to sell Higuain, but because he feels betrayed by his market consultant, who blabbed about several different rumours.

Auriemma had previously interviewed Olivier Giroud’s agent, Michael Manuello, and confirmed that the striker was willing to make the move to the Serie A club.
