Arsenal open talks to sign Hearts striker Wilson on loan

Arsenal are in talks to sign Hearts teenager James Wilson on an initial loan deal.

Wilson became Scotland’s youngest-ever debutant when he made his maiden international appearance last March, eclipsing a 138-year record for the national team.

The 18-year-old has already made 45 senior appearances for Hearts, scoring five goals, and is now subject of interest from the Premier League.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arsenal want to take the talented teenager on loan with an option to buy.

Wilson has played just 78 minutes of football in the Scottish Premiership this season but could now swap Scotland’s league leaders for England’s table toppers.

The teenager would join Arsenal’s youth set-up at Hale End with a view to a permanent transfer to North London.
