Arsenal are prepared to offer Hector Bellerin in exchange as part of a deal to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.
Arsenal have been linked with a shock move to sign the Argentina international this summer, with the north London side hoping to capitalise on the financial situation at the Italian champions and secure a deal for Martinez.
Mikel Arteta wants to sign a leading centre-forward and has made the 23-year-old the Gunners’ top target, but the player’s £75m asking price makes a deal prohibitive at present.
According to Football Insider, Arsenal are prepared to offer Bellerin in part-exchange for Martinez, with Inter in the market for a right-back following the €60m sale of Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the window.
Arsenal value the four-cap Spain international at around £30m and are hopeful the prospect of including Bellerin in the deal can tempt Inter into a sale.
Martinez has starred for the Nerazzurri across the past two seasons, scoring 40 goals in all competitions since the start of the 2019/20 season and starring as Inter won a drought-breaking Serie A title last season.
The forward also formed part of the Argentina side that won the Copa America this summer and has scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the South Americans at international level.
