Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly has had his red card against Wolves following a successful appeal.
The 18-year-old was sent off by referee Michael Oliver at Molineux for a late challenge on Matt Doherty, which was upheld by a VAR review.
The controversial decision was heavily criticised by Arsenal fans and manager Mikel Arteta, who was left “absolutely fuming” after the 1-0 win.
“It is that clear that I leave it to you guys,” he told Sky Sports. “I am absolutely fuming but I leave it with you. Because it is that obvious. I don’t think my words are going to help.”

The Football Association announced on Tuesday that they have rescinded the red card, meaning Lewis-Skelly avoids a three-match ban for serious foul play. He was set to miss Premier League games against Manchester City and Leicester City as well as the League Cup semi-final second leg against Newcastle United.
A statement from the FA read: “An independent Regulatory Commission has upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Myles Lewis-Skelly and removed his three-match suspension.
“The Arsenal player was sent off for serious foul play during their Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, January 25, 2025.”
Arteta reacted to the news at his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday’s Uefa Champions League match against Girona.
“Obviously, I’m very happy that a decision has been made and Myles is going to be able to play again,” he said.
