Arsenal could be set to make a move for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian has starred in Ligue 1 and Unai Emery is believed to have targeted the winger to add to his Arsenal side that have exceeded expectations so far this season.
That’s according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague who believes Pepe, 23, would thrive should he make a move to the Premier League.
“He’s one of those players that have had a great start to the season,” Balague on his YouTube channel.
“He’s scored eight goals already, nine assists and he’s got a great ability with his left foot.
“He’s mostly left-footed, plays on the right-hand side but also on the left-hand side.
“It’s mostly from wide areas coming inside that makes him special and it’s what he does with the ball in small spaces that makes him special.
“That’s why Arsenal are looking into the possibility of signing him.
“Yes, they’ve approached Lille.
“Keep an eye on him, he will end up in the Premier League I’m sure.”
Arsenal are likely to face competition for his services with teams such as Bayern Munich and Barcelona believed to be monitoring Pepe’s situation.
