Arsenal legend Ian Wright has said that Manchester United could look to sell Alexis Sanchez at the end of the season if his poor form continues.
Sanchez swapped Arsenal for Manchester United back in January but has so far failed to replicate the form that saw him become one of the most feared attackers in the Premier League, scoring just three goals for the Red Devils.
His last goal in the Premier League came all the way back in March, and despite being able to enjoy a summer free of international football, his fortunes are yet to improve.
With Sanchez thought to be earning in excess of £350,000-a-week, former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has said that he wouldn’t be surprised in United looked to offload their number 7 if his form continues to slump:
“If I was a businessman, I’d see how it goes for the rest of the season then look to offload,” Wright said on BBC Radio 5Live.
“It’s because of the wages he’s on.
“For me, right now, if United had paid money for him they’d be thinking: ‘How are we going to get that back?’
“Sanchez will have to take a hit on his weekly wage [if he joins another club]. Nobody will pay a fee for him, because of the way he’s playing.”
