Arsenal legend says Firmino is ‘the most complete striker in the league’

Its been a very good season for Liverpool, finishing fourth in the Premier League and reaching the UEFA Champions League final, with Mo Salah setting new records all season long.

While Salah has grabbed most of the headlines, and quite rightly so, he is just one piece of what has become one of the most prolific front three’s in the whole of Europe alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Brazilian forward Firmino took a bit of time to settle on Merseyside when he arrived in 2015, but has really developed into a vital player for the Reds, scoring 27 goals in total this season, more than the last two seasons combined (23).

While many may overlook his abilities, one man who hasn’t is Arsenal legend and goal machine Thierry Henry, who has described the Liverpool number 9 as ‘the most complete striker in the league.’

“His movement, his work-rate, the way he makes the two central defenders move to allow Mo Salah to make those runs. Firmino is the most complete striker in the league,” Henry said.

“I’m not talking about the best finisher or the best work rate, I’m talking about all round. The most complete in the league.”
