Arsenal are ready to join the race to sign Radja Nainggolan from Roma according to reports today.
It’s was always going to be the biggest summer in Arsenal’s Premier League history after their disappointing Premier League campaign, but the imminent departure of Arsene Wenger has massively increased the pressure on the Gunners board to make some big decisions regarding both the manager and the playing staff.
The North London side are currently 11 points behind Tottenham in the race for the top four, and could see their Champions League dream evaporate this weekend should Spurs better the Reds’ result.
They can still of course reach the Champions League via their Europa League campaign, although they have been drawn against Tournament favourites Atletico Madrid
However, before even knowing at what level of European football they will be playing, Arsenal are already making plans for the future, and the addition of Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan could be a crucial addition.
If they are to make a move for the Belgian midfielder, they will face tough competition from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United who have been linked and are known to be on the market for a new central midfielder.
While Nainggolan has been in excellent form for the Italian side, and has stated that he is happy at the club, Roma could be forced to sell in order to balance the books.
