Arsenal are in talks to sign long-term Manchester United target Ivan Perisic from Serie A side Inter Milan.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are interested in taking the Croatia international to the Emirates on a loan deal, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Perisic predominately plays as a left winger although he is comfortable playing in any position in attack, regularly switching flanks during Croatia’s impressive run to the World Cup final in Russia last summer.

The 29-year-old joined Inter in the summer of 2015 from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, netting 32 goals in 123 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri.

Manchester United were constantly linked with a move for the talented attacker during Jose Mourinho’s time as manager, with Inter rebuffing several bids from the Old Trafford outfit during the summer of 2017.

However, Inter are now said to be ready to cash in on Perisic, although they will not allow him to leave on the cheap.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has previously stated that he would like to sign both a winger and a defender during the January transfer window.
