The Gunners were already without Hector Bellerin for the remainder of the season, and it now looks as if Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis Papastathopoulos will be out injured for a while too.
The growing injury list means Gary Cahill could be making his way across the Thames this month, with the Mirror saying that he could make a loan move to the Emirates.
The centre-back has featured in just one Premier League fixture this season, and with his contract running out in the summer, his future at Chelsea looks to be non-existent.
The Blues are open to loaning him out for the remainder of the campaign, with Fulham the keenest pursuers in their search for some semblance of defensive solidity.
The Cottagers and Cahill could not come to an agreement however, leaving the door wide open for Arsenal to shore up their hobbled back-line.
It could be the ideal move for manager Unai Emery, who is hamstrung by a transfer policy that will only allow loan signings this month.
