Arsenal manager Unai Emery reckons that the Premier League is by far the most competitive league competition in World Football.
Emery has previously managed in La Liga and Ligue 1, with the 46-year-old coach reckoning that the level of competitiveness in the top flight of English Football is far superior to other top European Leagues.
“It’s very hard,” Emery told Sky Sports.
“They are very great teams here and every match, like yesterday against Everton, is very difficult.
“[There are] very good players, I think the best players and best teams in the world in this competition, they are here.”
Emery’s Arsenal side are currently on a decent run of form after a difficult start to their Premier League campaign, winning their last five fixtures in all competitions. However, many Gunners fans have voiced concerns about their sides lack of defensive stability, but Emery has insisted that it will take him time to fully implement his playing style in North London.
“The players have shown since the first day of pre-season they are trying every day to do the best,” Emery added.
“I think we are improving every day and I am very happy.
“But we need also time, we need to continue working, improving. Winning is better I think to find this but I think we are on the way.”
