Arsenal boss praises Portuguese coaches ahead of Wolves fixture

Unai Emery has been very complimentary of his upcoming opponent, Nuno Espirito Santo, ahead of the Arsenal and Wolves fixture at the weekend.

Emery spoke of Nuno’s heritage and how his Portuguese learning environment would have helped to develop his competitiveness and organisational skills.

“He’s a good coach with experience,” Emery told Arsenal’s official website.

“Every coach from Portugal, in my experience, is very competitive and they are very organised coaches.

“They have discipline but also talented players, like at Wolves. I know that each match here is very difficult and we need to prepare so that we can continue to get better to produce a big performance every day.”

Arsenal drew 0-0 with Sporting last night in the Europa League and will have quickly turned their thoughts to the weekend in preparation for Wolves’ visit to the Emirates Stadium.

“It’s about thinking of the next match after finishing the game in the Europa League. Then what’s very important is the Premier League and to complete our process and our progress to be in the best position.” Emery added.

The Gunners are now undefeated in 15 games, winning 12 of those fixtures. They are 5th in the Premier League table, just one point behind near-neighbours, Spurs.
