Arsenal had to come through a tough test at The Emirates Stadium, today. Two second-half goals gave The Gunners a 2-0 win over Watford after The Hornets had missed plenty of chances to take all three points themselves.
Speaking to the media after the game, Arsenal defender, Rob Holding, was eager to praise Unai Emery and the change in mentality he is instilling in this Arsenal squad.
“We knew it would be a battle. It always is when you’re up against Troy Deeney,” Holding told Premier League productions.
“We stood up to the battle and though we were tired late on we got those two goals. As long as we matched them physically, we have the players who could get the goals.
“Another clean sheet. It’s nice to get that and keep that run going. The manager said he wanted to bring in a winning mentality. We go into each game confident. We’re physically fit and we know we can get a result.”
Emery and The Gunners have now made it seven wins on the trot, in all competitions. Arsenal have not tasted defeat since their 3-2 defeat at Chelsea on the opening weekend of the season.
Next up for Arsenal is a trip to Qarabag for their Europa League tie, during the week. Then it’s Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the Premier League, next Sunday.
