Arsenal secured their second successive Premier League win today when they defeated newly-promoted Cardiff City 3-2 in South Wales.
Striker Alexandre Lacazette was the pick of the Arsenal players, scoring the winning goal with 10 minutes remaining, and also providing a classy assist for fellow frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It was France international Lacazette’s first start of the season, although many Gunners fans have been crying out for him and Aubameyang to be play together more often going back as far as Arsene Wenger’s reign.
Speaking after the game Arsenal boss Unai Emery revealed that he is working hard to get the best out of the pair in training.
“They are playing minutes each match and today they started.” Emery told Sky Sports.
“We are continuing to work on the combinations. Today I think the two players scored goals and helped us.
“We can continue to work to find the best performance with each player.”
