Arsenal and Liverpool have each checked in on the progress of Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back Willian Pacho this season.
The Ecuador international signed for Frankfurt from Royal Antwerp last summer and has made an immediate impression during his debut campaign in the Bundesliga.
Pacho helped Antwerp to a first-ever Belgian league and cup double last season before his move to Germany and has since made 28 appearances for a Frankfurt team pushing for a place in Europe.
Arsenal and Liverpool like the look of the 22-year-old, according to Sky Germany, and are considering summer bids for the defender.
Both teams are keen to bring in additional depth at centre-back, with Liverpool set to see Joel Matip depart when his contract expires at the end of the season. Jarell Quansah has emerged as a first-team option for the Reds this season, though the Merseysiders are keen to add another defender.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have William Saliba and Gabriel established in central defence but have primarily used Ben White, Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu in full-back roles.
Frankfurt are under no pressure to sell Pacho, however, given he signed a five-year deal with the German side last summer. The Eagles could demand a fee of around €60m (£52m) for Pacho, who is one of several emerging Ecuadorian starlets currently impressing in Europe’s top five leagues.
