Michail Antonio says inconsistent West Ham United need to get back on the right foot against Wolverhampton Wanderers after losing successive games.
The Hammers have only secured two victories in their last six Premier League fixtures, and suffered a shock exit from the FA Cup following their 4-2 loss to League One side AFC Wimbledon in the fourth round of the competition.
West Ham’s season appeared to be on the right track when they defeated Arsenal 1-0 a few weeks back, but they have failed to win their two games since, displaying a lack of consistency that has haunted the London club this campaign.
Antonio has said the squad can’t let their guard down again when they face a tough Wolves side tonight:
“We can’t afford to do that again on Tuesday and we can’t afford to do that in any game, to be honest,” Antonio told whufc.com.
“We need to be on it from the kick-off until the final whistle, as we have been in most of our games this season.
“Wolves beat us at home earlier this season and we know it won’t be an easy game, but we are all determined to show we are a better team than we showed on Saturday night.
“Although we lost our last game, our results have been good for the last couple of months overall, so we’ll be looking to bounce back and get another win in the Premier League at Molineux.”
