Anthony Martial is set to sensationally quit Manchester United this summer.
According to The Sun, the young Frenchman feels like he is being forced out of the club by Jose Mourinho, so is prepared to leave.
Martial moved to Old Trafford 18-months ago for an initial £36million move, but the fee could potentially rise to £58million depending on performances.
He was the clubs top goal scorer last season under Louis van Gaal, becoming an instant hero, scoring against Liverpool on his debut. He also netted a last minute winner against Everton at Wembley to put take Manchester United to the FA Cup final, a final in which they won.
However Martial’s game time under Jose Mourinho has been restricted this season and the youngster believes he is being made a scapegoat for some of the teams failings.
Last week, Mourinho claimed that certain members of his squad “lacked winning mentality” – a remark possibly aimed at the Martial.
Paris Saint-German are keen to take the winger back to his native France, in what would be a big money deal.
It of course isn’t the first time Mourinho has sanctioned the sale for popular players. Juan Mata was of course sold to Manchester United despite being he clubs player of the season for two years on the run.
