Carlo Ancelotti is set for a sensational return to the Premier League as Chelsea manager.
According to reports in the Daily Record a deal has been all but done for the Italian coach to take over the reigns at Stamford Bridge from countryman Antonio Conte.
Ancelotti managed Chelsea between 2009-2011 and won the league and cup double in his first season with the club before being harshly sacked at the end of the 2011 season.
Conte has been at war with Chelsea’s hiercahy over their transfer dealings, and it is pretty much accepted within the club that he will leave at the end of this campaign, with PSG thought to be his most likely destination.
Ancelotti has a glittering CV having managed many of Europe’s major club like AC Milan, Juventus, PSG and Real Madrid. The experienced coach has been out of work since being sacked by German giants Bayern Munich earlier this season.
Ancelotti, who has been heavily linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in recent years is expected to move to London in February before taking over as Chelsea manager for the second time next June.
