Chelsea have won only one of their last four Premier League games with their midweek defeat to Wolves leaving them ten points behind Manchester City.

The Blues’ Spanish left-back, Marcos Alonso, has called for more of a ‘team’ approach to games as Chelsea look to get back to their brilliant early-season form.

“If we lose we are going to be 13 points from the top and that’s a lot of points but we have to think, prepare for the game well and not pay attention to the table at the moment,” Alonso told Chelsea’s official website.

“We have to play more as a team. It’s something we have to analyse, we will try our best to improve as soon as possible.

“We’re not doing very well at the moment. More individually [than] as a team, we have to get better as a collective.”

This is the first real blip in the Maurizio Sarri era at Chelsea. After a fantastic start to the campaign, The Blues are now fourth in the Premier League, two points behind Spurs and just ahead of Arsenal on goal difference.
