Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has pipped Manchester City’s Ederson to the Premier League’s Golden Glove award.
The 26-year-old earned his 21st clean sheet of the season in Liverpool’s 2-0 final day win over Wolves, seeing him finish just one ahead of compatriot Ederson following City’s 4-1 win at Brighton.
The Brazilian international has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in English football, having signed for a then world-record £65m fee for a goalkeeper from Roma last summer.

Alisson’s arrival has helped transform Liverpool’s defence into the meanest in the division, with Jurgen Klopp’s runners-up having conceded a league-low 22 goals.
The 26-year-old shot stopper becomes the first Liverpool goalkeeper to win the award since Pepe Reina 11 years ago, with the Spaniard having won the award three years in succession from 2006-2008.
