Alexis Sanchez is ready to request a transfer away from the Emirates to force a move to rivals Manchester City.

Sanchez has been unsettled since the start of the summer after Arsenal failed to qualify for this seasons Champions League, a competition Sanchez wants to play in, with the skill to do so.

Arsene Wenger has previously stated that Sanchez is not for sale and will remain at the club. But Wenger has a history of making false claims about players staying at the club, a good example of this being the sale of Robin Van Persie to Manchester United.

According to the Mirror, Sanchez will look to leave the club on good terms by leaving now rather than waiting until his contract expires next summer. Sanchez wants to link up with former manager Pep Guardiola.

Manchester City’s Claudio Bravo has already stated that they are waiting for Sanchez ‘with open arms’ (as reported by the Metro).  Manchester City are reportedly willing to offer Arsenal £50 million for Sanchez, even tho he only has one-year left on his contract.

Sanchez played 58 times last season for Arsenal and Chile, scoring an impressive 31 goals in all competitions. Also, he picked up 13 assists last season (stats from WhoScored.com). These stats show how important he is to both club and country.
