Alexis Sanchez makes decision on Arsenal future

Alexis Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal to play in the Champions League.

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has made it clear that he wants to move on and be involved in the Champions League once again. The Gunners will be in the Europa League next season, for the first time in over 20 years, something that Sanchez seemingly does not want to be part of.

Sanchez has spoken while in his native Chile and said:

“I have made my decision, but now the decision has to be taken by Arsenal.

“It depends on them. I have to wait to know what they want. My idea is to play and win the Champions League. It’s a dream I have had since I was little.”

If Sanchez is not sold this summer, he will run down his current deal and then leave for free after next season.

Manager Arsene Wenger has been confident that Sanchez would remain at the club, claiming that he had exchanged positive text messages with the player. However, Sanchez apparently wants to end his time at the club.

Sanchez has been continuously linked with a move to Manchester City where he would reunite with former coach Pep Guardiola. Moving to the Etihad Stadium would guarantee Sanchez the chance to play in the Champions League next season.

The North London side want to hold on to Alexis Sanchez but he has rejected improved contracts and appears set on ending his three year stay at Arsenal.
