Alex Sandro has told his club Juventus that he would like to move to Chelsea and not Manchester United.
The 26-year-old left-back has impressed with his power and pace since moving to Italy from Porto in 2015. Sandro has become a key part of Massimiliano Allegri’s Juve side and put in a string of superb displays last season, as his team won the Serie A title and made it to the Champions League final.
Chelsea bid for the player during the summer transfer period, but were rebuffed by Juventus. Manchester United have also been following the player closely as they seek to find a long-term solution to their problematic left-back position.
However, according to reports in The Sun, the Brazil international has made it clear to his club that his preference is for a move to London in January.
This will come as a hammer blow to Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and will delight Chelsea coach Antonio.
Although the talented defender will not come cheap and Juventus are expected to demand a mouth watering £80 million to part with his services.
