Alderweireld discusses England captain Kane’s desire to be the world’s best

Belgium centre-back Toby Alderweireld reckons his Spurs team-mate Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the World and will only get better in the future.

England captain Kane made up for not finishing as top scorer in the Premier League this season, by winning the Golden Boot at this summers World Cup in Russia, scoring six goals for the Three Lions.

Alderweireld has been team-mates with Kane since he moved to Spurs from Southampton in 2015, and he has been praising the talented strikers desire to succeed, while also revealing that he thinks there is plenty more to come from the England international.

“I think Harry is one of the best strikers in the world, of course he is,”  Alderweireld Press Association Sport.

“He’s an all-round player. He’s not just scoring goals, he’s helping the team play better. The only thing he didn’t do is score against Belgium so that’s a positive for us!

“But he is a wonderful player and still very young as well, people forget that.

“He has the desire to be one of the best, maybe the best, and this is just the beginning I think.”
