The agent of Gianluigi Donnarumma has confirmed the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper is keen on a move to the Premier League this summer.

Donnarumma has been told he can leave PSG despite an important role in the club’s treble success last season. The Italian was dropped from the squad for Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur, with PSG having signed Lucas Chevalier as a replacement.

PSG are keen to offload Donnarumma, who has less than 12 months to run on his current contract.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been credited with interest in the 26-year-old, while Chelsea have also considered a move for a new number one this summer. The Blues help exploratory talks with AC Milan’s Mike Maignan earlier in the window.

Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, has criticised PSG’s lack of respect and has said the Premier League is the ‘right step’ for the shot-stopper.

“Premier League is the right step for Gigio in my view, we’re working on it,” he said.

“There are zero talks with Italian clubs. We are still shocked by PSG behaviour with Gigio. There’s zero respect by the club after four years together. We will consider the situation also with our legal team. We will consider solutions now, maybe in Premier League there will be clubs able to pay what’s needed.

“Paris Saint-Germain are asking for big money. They talk about respect, but it’s only about the money.”
