AC Milan will look to break into the Serie A’s top four by taking maximum points when they travel to face Udinese on Sunday in their upcoming league fixture.
The Rossoneri arrive with a mixed and unpredictable stretch of results. They are still unbeaten after their first seven Serie A matches, with their latest outing producing an exciting 3-2 win against Atalanta after they had drawn 1-1 away at Sassuolo. Yet their European form under head coach Rúben Amorim has been far less stable. After an impressive 4-0 triumph on the road against Salzburg, Milan suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth in midweek, raising concerns about their defensive frailties.
AC Milan team news
Milan will be missing Adrien Rabiot because of calf fatigue, while Diego Moreira and Mario Gila have not travelled with the squad owing to hamstring and ankle problems respectively.
These latest absences compound an injury-hit squad. Samuel Chukwueze is expected to be out for a minimum of two months with a hip problem, while Alexis Saelemaekers and Matteo Gabbia remain long-term casualties. Filippo Terracciano is also a significant doubt heading into the game.
There is better news up front, however, as Gonçalo Ramos has resumed full training after sitting out the midweek European match and is likely to start as the central striker. Christian Pulisic and Omari Hutchinson are expected to complete the reshaped front three.
AC Milan predicted lineup
Possible AC Milan starting XI: Maignan; Tomori, De Winter, Pavlovic; Hutchinson, Musah, Modric, Bartesaghi; Loftus-Cheek, Pulisic; Ramos
When will the match kick off?
The match will kick off at 8:45pm BST on Sunday, 25th October.
