Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to complete a £50 million move to Manchester United this week, but is the youngster all that? We take a look at what he will bring to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
The youngster will become Manchester United‘s second signing of the summer, following Dan James as the second 21-year-old through the Old Trafford entrance.
However, like James, one thing Wan-Bissaka certainly won’t bring to the Red Devils is a wealth of experience, with the right-back making just 42 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace since making his debut at the back end of the 2017/18 campaign.
At £50 million, he is set to become the most expensive player in history to have made less than 50 professional appearances, and the second most expensive player who has not made his international debut, with Aymeric Laporte’s £57m move to Man City the dearest.
In those 42 appearances for the Eagles though, he certainly has impressed on the right-hand side of Roy Hodgson’s defence, with United fans taking to social media to highlight a number of impressive stats and performances.

Aaron Wan Bissaka won 23 of his 25 attempted tackles away to the established top 6 teams in England last season. Combined with a 94% tackle success rate last season (highest of any fullback in the league), he looks a more than capable defender for the future!

There’s also the fact that AWB is likely to replace Ashley Young as United’s first choice right back…that has to be an improvement, right?
