Juventus confirm interest in Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey

Juventus have confirmed that they are interested in signing Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer this summer.

The Arsenal midfielder has been told he is free to find a new club this summer, having seen the offer of a new contract rescinded a few months ago.

With just six months remaining on his current deal at the Emirates, the Welshman is now free to open contract talks with foreign teams, as well as being able to put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement.

A number of huge clubs around the Premier League and across Europe, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all been linked with having an interest in signing the 28-year-old.

With the January transfer window now open, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has confirmed that Ramsey is a player that the Italian champions are interested in signing

“Ramsey is a very good player who has been playing at a high level for many years and who plays for an important club. For now, that’s it,” Paratici told Sky Sports Italia.

“He is a player whose contract is going to end and we always pay great attention to the situations offered by the transfer market because it is our duty, so we also pay attention to Ramsey.”

When asked more on whether Ramsey will become a Juventus player next July, Paratici said: “This is yet to be decided.

“Now, he is still an Arsenal player and we certainly are not the only ones who pay attention to transfers. This is already a very complete answer.”
