Everton eye up Premier League striker

Ronald Koeman has given the green light for Everton to make a move for a Premier League striker and in the process, sanctioning the sale of one of Evertons stars.

The Sun claims that Koeman has directed the club to make a move for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony in a move that could unlock the deadlock in Manchester City’s move for John Stones.

The two clubs are reportedly around £10million apart in their valuations of the player, with Man City offering around £40million for the defenders services, whilst Everton are demanding £50million.

Bony moved to Manchester City in January 2015 in a £28million move from Swansea City, but after scoring just 6 Premier League goals in his time at the club, his value has dropped to around £15million, something which Everton are hoping to use in order to break the deadlock in the Stones’ negotiation.
