Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart meet in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with both teams trying to stay in the hunt for a top-four finish.
Dortmund have been among the league’s strongest sides in recent weeks, and their win over Hamburg was their 18th league victory of the season. Niko Kovac has stressed the need for complete focus against a Stuttgart side that has already bettered its points total from last season, while Dortmund know a positive result away from home would be important in the Champions League race.
Borussia Dortmund team news
Dortmund head into the game with a major injury problem in midfield. Captain Emre Can is out for the rest of the season after tearing the cruciate ligament in his left knee, while Felix Nmecha is also sidelined with a knee ligament injury and is expected back in May.
Those absences leave Jobe Bellingham, Carney Chukwuemeka and Marcel Sabitzer likely to carry the load in central areas.
At the back, Filippo Mané is getting closer to returning but is still not available for selection, so Dortmund may again depend on Waldemar Anton and Nico Schlotterbeck in defence.
Up front, Serhou Guirassy is set to lead the line against his former club, with Karim Adeyemi and Maximilian Beier expected to provide pace and support around him.
Borussia Dortmund predicted lineup
