RB Leipzig will accept a bid below Castello Lukeba’s release clause this summer amid interest in the defender.
Lukeba is keen to explore his options ahead of the summer transfer window with both Bayern Munich and Premier League teams interested.
The Frenchman has a release clause of €80m (£69.8m) in his contract with the German side, though Leipzig are prepared to negotiate on that fee. Sky Germany claim an offer in the region of €65m (£56.7m) could be enough to persuade Leipzig to sell.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with the 23-year-old, who is ‘keen on a new challenge’ after three seasons in the Bundesliga. He has earned a single cap for France and hopes a high-profile transfer can earn him a regular place with Les Bleus.
A natural left-footer with high-quality distribution, Lukeba ranks in the top 3% of defenders across Europe for progressive passes completed. He also sits among the top 14% for percentage of defensive duels won.
