Following a full midweek schedule, it’s time for another edition of our Premier League Team of the Week.
Goalkeeper: Jose Sa – Wolves
Wolves weathered a storm to escape from Nottingham Forest with a point, in large part thanks to Jose Sa. The veteran made 10 saves at the City Ground and three vital high claims to relieve pressure. Sa more than earned his clean sheet.

Right-back: James Justin – Leeds
A tigerish performance from Justin as Leeds fought back from two down to draw at Chelsea. The right-back made one vital last-man challenge and came out on top in his defensive duels, with 10/13 won and five clearances.
Centre-back: James Hill – Bournemouth
James Hill has been a revelation for Bournemouth in recent weeks. Hill was outstanding again in the win at Everton, making a mammoth 13 clearances and winning 100% of his ground duels (4/4), alongside eight in the air. Hill nodded down the assist for Amine Adli’s winner, his third assist in just 10 league starts. Not bad going for a centre-back.
Centre-back: Ibrahima Konate – Liverpool
After a below-par start to the season, Ibrahima Konate has found form for Liverpool. The Frenchman relished his physical duel with Sunderland’s Brian Brobbey and stood strong at The Stadium of Light.
With no new contract signed, it appears more likely that Konate will leave in the summer. His exit on a free transfer would be a big blow.

Left-back: Rayan Ait-Nouri – Manchester City
Another strong showing from Ait-Nouri after impressing at Anfield at the weekend. The Algerian bombed forward with confidence in Manchester City’s win over Fulham, and was sound defensively, too. With Nico O’Reilly tucked inside into midfield, he’s earning regular minutes, while it’s a flexible combination that has offered encouragement.
Midfield: Hannibal Mejbri – Burnley
An all-action outing for the midfielder, capped by an emphatic strike to spark Burnley’s comeback at Crystal Palace. He was at the centre of everything good from the Clarets, despite some rough treatment from the home side.

Midfield: Nico O’Reilly – Manchester City
Just a terrific young footballer. Pep Guardiola has insisted O’Reilly is a midfielder despite his emergence at left-back, and he’s proving that point after moving to the engine room. Excellent again against Fulham, he took his goal in style at the Etihad. His quality – and versatility – looks set to earn him an England place this summer.
Midfield: Florian Wirtz – Liverpool
The best player on the pitch as Liverpool ended Sunderland’s unbeaten home run. Wirtz was lively throughout as he picked up pockets of space in dangerous areas, and he hit the post with a first-half effort. He needs to continue adjusting to the physical demands of the division, but the quality, quite clearly, is there.
Right-wing: Jayden Bogle – Leeds
Led Leeds in their comeback at Chelsea. Bogle was at the forefront of a spirited performance from the visitors, as he won the penalty for Lukas Nmecha to convert, and then forced the ball to Noah Okafor for the equaliser.
Left-wing: Antoine Semenyo – Manchester City
The January signing has hit the ground running at the Etihad. Another goal and assist for Semenyo, who made it seven goal involvements in eight games with the Citizens. He was superb at Bournemouth but already looks capable of climbing to new heights in a City shirt.

Forward: Jorgen Strand Larsen – Crystal Palace
It’s not often we pick out players in a losing effort, but Strand Larsen has earned his spot. It appeared to be a dream home debut for the January recruit, who scored twice for Crystal Palace before the Eagles’ collapse against Burnley. There’s pressure on the Norwegian given his price tag, but this was a glimpse of what Palace can expect. Deliver, and he will finish.
