Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move to sign FC Porto striker Samu Aghehowa in the January transfer window.
Thomas Frank has suggested signings are likely in the winter window, as Spurs look to improve from a challenging start to the campaign. The North Londoners are 11th in the table and attacking additions are the priority.
Aghehowa has emerged as a potential option for Spurs, following a prolific period in Portugal. The 21-year-old has scored 43 goals in 68 games since joining Porto from Atletico Madrid in 2024.
His performances have seen Aghehowa break into the Spain squad, where he has won four senior caps. The forward came close to joining Chelsea in 2024, but moved to Porto after a deal with the West Londoners fell through.

Frank is keen to add goals to his team, with Dominic Solanke having barely featured this season and Randal Kolo Muani yet to score in the Premier League.
Aghehowa is one of several options being considered, according to the Evening Standard, alongside Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush.
The latter has started just twice in the Premier League this season and is set to face further competition for a place as City close in on signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. Spurs had also been interested in Semento but are now assessing alternatives.
Spurs are not alone in tracking Aghehowa. Newcastle and Aston Villa have also monitored his performances, though Porto are reluctant to lose the striker mid-season. The Portuguese side are currently top of the Primeira Liga table in Portugal.
