Paris Saint-Germain travel to Metz in their latest Ligue 1 encounter this weekend.
The French champions trail leaders Lens by a point in the title race, heading into Saturday’s contest. After thrashing Rennes 5-0 last weekend, PSG endured a frustrating night in Europe in midweek. A goalless draw at Athletic Bilbao saw the European champions record 71% possession and 17 shots without breaking the deadlock.
Next up are a Metz side who are rooted to the bottom of Ligue 1, having won just three of their 15 games this season.
Paris Saint-Germain XI vs Metz – Predicted lineup and team news
PSG team news
Paris Saint-Germain remain without the influential Achraf Hakimi, who is dealing with a hamstring issue. The Moroccan is facing a race against time to feature for the national side at the Africa Cup of Nations, which begins later this month.
In addition to the absence of Hakimi, fellow full-back Nuno Mendes has a thigh issue. Lucas Beraldo (calf) adds to the list of defensive absentees, while both Lucas Chevalier (ankle) and Ousmane Dembele (illness) missed the Champions League clash with Athletic Club. Both remain doubtful for the weekend.
