Celtic are set to welcome Dundee to Celtic Park this Wednesday as part of the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership fixtures.
The home side will be eager to secure a win that could see them climb to the top of the league standings.
Celtic team news
Celtic faces some squad difficulties ahead of the match, with several important players sidelined. Defender Cameron Carter-Vickers remains out with an Achilles injury he suffered during the Europa League clash against Sturm Graz in October. Interim coach Martin O’Neill has confirmed that Carter-Vickers is unlikely to return before April and will probably miss the rest of this season.
Additionally, winger Jota is still in the process of recovering from an ACL injury sustained in May, with his comeback expected to be delayed until sometime next year.
The team will also miss right-back Alistair Johnston, who picked up an injury in the same game against Sturm Graz, as well as midfielder Callum Osmond, who is sidelined with a hamstring issue and expected to be out until March.
On the managerial front, Celtic’s interim boss Martin O’Neill has announced that the upcoming match will be his last in charge before Wilfried Nancy officially takes the helm.
Nancy, currently managing the Columbus Crew, will take over after the game. O’Neill reflected on his successful stint since taking over following Brendan Rodgers’ departure on 27 October, having secured victories in six of his seven matches.
Celtic predicted lineup
Possible Celtic starting XI: Schmeichel; Donovan, Trusty, Scales, Saracchi; Engels, McGregor, Hatate; McCowan, Maeda, Hyun-Jun.
When will the match kick off?
The match will kick off at 7:45pm BST on Wednesday, 3rd December.
