Atletico Madrid vs Levante – Predicted lineup and team news

Atletico Madrid will face Levante on Saturday evening in what will be their final La Liga match before the November international break.

Diego Simeone’s team has delivered an outstanding performance this season, especially on home turf, where they’ve recorded five victories and a single draw. This triumph extended their unbeaten streak in LaLiga to ten games and highlighted their defensive strength with a third successive clean sheet at the Metropolitano.

Atletico Madrid team news

The hosts have been dealt a major setback with defender Robin Le Normand expected to be sidelined for several weeks due to a serious knee injury he sustained during Atletico’s Champions League victory over Union Saint-Gilloise.

Le Normand was forced off at halftime after colliding with Adem Zorgane in the 24th minute at the Metropolitano. Medical examinations revealed significant damage, and he is projected to be out of action for one to two months, ruling him out of Spain’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers as well as Atletico’s Champions League clash against Inter Milan on 26 November.

However, Atletico’s squad depth remains strong despite this blow. Alexander Sorloth and Connor Gallagher have been vying for regular game time, with Gallagher recently netting a goal in Champions League play against Union Saint-Gilloise. Meanwhile, Julian Alvarez continues to spearhead Atletico’s attack, having scored in their commanding 3-0 league win over Sevilla, marking his seventh league goal this season.
