Raheem Sterling will be staying at Manchester City beyond Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Yesterday, news was rife that Manchester City had offered Sterling to Arsenal as part of a potential deal to take Alexis Sanchez to the Etihad. However those reports seem to be slightly wide of the mark.
The Mirror today claim that City are ready to offer £30m plus Sterling in order to sign the Chilean, with Sterling only having been signed from Liverpool for £49m two years ago.
However reports elsewhere suggest that Manchester City would prefer to sign Sanchez in a straight cash deal with no players involved, while it is Arsenal who seemingly want Sterling involved.
The Cityzens have had a £50m bid rejected for Sanchez, with Sky Sports now reporting that Sterling will not be leaving the club this summer.
