With the promotion of Isco and Asensio, and the signings of Ceballos and Hernandez, Real Madrid are transitioning into a club with loads of young talent. Now obviously, some players have to leave the club, let’s look at who I think they should be.
The 26-year old Brazilian full-back signed for Real at the start of the 2015-16 season and has been fairly disappointing. Playing a combined 56 times for Real so far, the player has contributed to 12 goals, but has been very poor defensively. The player scored 2 own goals in three Copa Del Rey games, which led to him being heavily criticised by the fans.
Apart from being a complete full-back, the player is also strong offensively.
Danilo was bought from Porto for 31.5 million euros and is wanted by Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus this summer. Most recently, a €35million bid from City has come in for the Brazilian, which apparently has been accepted. Good passing, good ball control, who knows, he might just be a hit in England.
Big Benz joined Real way back in 2009, and is one of the longest serving players at the club. A clinical finisher with a strong header, Benzema could fit in well at many top clubs across Europe. The Frenchman had a disappointing 16/17 though, scoring just 19 times in 48 games (all competitions). In fact, Alvaro Morata scored more in about half the minutes.
By no means, is Benzema a bad player, it just looks like that his time at the Bernabeu is coming to an end.
The 29-year-old would fetch a decent price in the market too, according to transfermarkt Benzema is worth €60 million, not bad.
Casilla was signed in 2015 from Espanyol as a second choice keeper and hasn’t featured much since. Kiko has conceded 32 goals in 26 games, which isn’t the worst but not really too good either.
The goalkeeper is already 30 and worth about €6 million. Real can let him go and promote Ruben Yanez to the 2nd choice goalkeeper spot, or sign a newer and younger goalkeeper.
