West Brom XI vs Leicester City – Predicted lineup and team news

West Brom make the short trip to the King Power Stadium to face Midlands rivals Leicester City in the Championship this evening.

The Baggies head into the contest in poor form, having lost three of their last four league fixtures. Ryan Mason’s side have endured a particularly torrid record on the road.

West Brom have lost their last nine away fixtures in the Championship consecutively, with only three second-tier teams having won less points away from home this season.

The visitors can take heart from Leicester’s own recent form. The Foxes have also lost three of their last four to sit 14th in the table, seven points from the play-offs.

West Brom team news

Ryan Mason is boosted by the return of Alfie Gilchrist who is back available after a three-match suspension.

However, West Brom remain without Jed Wallace through injury, while Tammer Bamy is a long-term absentee.

Given the short turnaround, Mason could opt to rotate his side for this clash. Josh Maja and Isaac Price will hope for promotion after starting the New Year’s Day defeat at Swansea on the bench.

When will the match kick off?

The Championship fixture takes place at The King Power Stadium on Monday 5th January 2026. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm GMT.
