Coventry City went goal-crazy on Saturday afternoon after thrashing Queens Park Rangers 7-1 in the Championship.
Frank Lampard’s side underlined their promotion credentials with an emphatic win at the CBS Arena. The Sky Blues were 5-0 up at the half-time break and seven ahead just after the hour. A late Richard Kone response for QPR was little consolation for the visitors, who were well beaten on a harrowing afternoon in the East Midlands.
It was a perfect afternoon for Coventry, who were celebrating their acquisition of the CBS Arena.
