Mo Salah believes that Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai is performing like “one of the best players in the world” this season.Â
The Hungary international played a key role in the Reds’ 3-0 win over Brighton in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday night, doubling his side’s lead with a sensational goal following Curtis Jones’ opener.
Salah provided the assist for Szoboszlai before winning and converting a penalty, just the third time he has completed all three actions in a single game for Liverpool.
The Egyptian winger put in a terrific performance at Anfield, but he gave all the plaudits to the versatile midfielder, who he believes holds the key to a cup run this year.
“There was pressure for sure on the penalty,” Salah told TNT Sports. “It’s a very important win for us. It gives us confidence for the upcoming games.
“I think a cup run depends on his [Szoboszlai’s] performances. We rely on him so much. This season he is one of the best players in the world.
“It is great to win trophies. Hopefully we can go on.”
