Alexander Isak will not make his Liverpool debut at Burnley this afternoon with the new signing not included in the squad.
Isak is the headline omission from Arne Slot’s squad for the clash at Turf Moor, as Liverpool look to maintain their 100% start to the Premier League season.
The Swedish striker joined the Reds in a £125m British transfer record deal on deadline and featured twice as a substitute for Sweden during the international break.
However, Slot has opted for a patient approach with the 25-year-old who has trained alone for much of the summer.
Hugo Ekitike again leads the line for the visitors, while Dominik Szbosozlai will continue at right-back. There’s positive news on the substitutes’ bench, as Jeremie Frimpong returns from his hamstring issue.
