Dean Henderson has said it’s important Crystal Palace have players who ‘keep showing up for the badge’ after a turbulent month.
Palace sold captain Marc Guehi to Manchester City earlier in the transfer window, while leading scorer Jean-Philippe Mateta is nearing a transfer to AC Milan. Furthermore, head coach Oliver Glasner has confirmed he will leave Selhurst Park at the end of the season.
Palace are now winless in nine Premier League games, following a 1-1 draw at 10-man Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Ismaila Sarr’s penalty earned Palace a point, following Morgan Gibbs-White’s early opener for Forest. The Eagles last won a league fixture on December 7th and have dropped to 14th in the table.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Henderson called for unity in the Palace dressing room as the club look to end their winless run.
“We had a great first half, we were the better team and created some good situations. The sending off gives you great momentum but it was disappointing that we couldn’t find a way through.
“We had it a couple of times last season when they sit and it’s attack v defence. Sit in and don’t give away, they did that well.
“I thought the lads did really well. They pushed to the last and it’s important we have the lads in the dressing room to keep showing up for the badge.”
