Everton winger Grealish facing three months out

Jack Grealish is expected to miss around three months of action with a stress fracture in his foot.

Everton confirmed that Grealish had sustained a foot issue on Tuesday and scans have now determined the winger is facing an extended spell out.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed the prognosis is around three months on the sidelines, in a big blow to David Moyes’s side.

Grealish has scored twice and provided six assists in the Premier League this season, after joining the Toffees on loan from Manchester City. Only two players, Bruno Fernandes and Rayan Cherki, have provided more assists in the Premier League.

His injury is also a damaging blow to hopes of making England’s 2026 World Cup squad. Grealish was pictured chatting to Thomas Tuchel following Everton’s 1-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday. He has not been capped for the Three Lions since October 2024 and has now been ruled out of contention for March’s fixtures.

Earlier this week, Grealish revealed his desire to stay at Everton permanently, once his loan concludes in the summer. Everton have a £50m purchase option in the loan arrangement.

“I would love to stay after this loan — this place feels like home now,” he said.

“I hope a deal can be done so I can stay at this club I’ve fallen in love with.”
