Everton return to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, aiming to end a poor run of form that has seen them win just one of their last seven league games.
David Moyes’ side also lost their last home match to Tottenham. Therefore, they will be desperate to avoid back-to-back home defeats. This is something that has not happened under Moyes since October 2011.
This fixture was once a guaranteed three points for the Toffees. After winning 22 consecutive home league games against Fulham, Everton are now surprisingly winless in their last four (D1, L3).
However, Moyes himself has an excellent personal record against the Cottagers. He is aiming to become only the third manager to win 20 or more games against a single club, joining Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger.
Everton team news
David Moyes confirmed some positive news in his pre-match press conference. Star attacker Iliman Ndiaye is fit and available to start. Ndiaye came off with a cramp at Sunderland, but has trained well. His inclusion is vital, as the Toffees remain without key defenders Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson.
Meanwhile, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is also fully available. He will likely join Jack Grealish in the attacking midfield roles. Grealish has been Everton’s main creator this season. In fact, he has won more fouls (22) and created more chances (17) than any other player in the league.
Everton predicted lineup
Everton predicted XI: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Garner, Gueye; Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Beto
